Vietnam is considering a new visa regime to attract more visitors from India. Da Nang, a premier destination known for its beaches and cultural heritage, has seen a significant rise in Indian tourists. Enhanced visa policies could further boost tourism and strengthen bilateral relations.
As per the latest development, Vietnam might likely change its approach to tourism as it is considering a new visa regime for visitors from India and other nations. While several South Asian countries have a visa-on-arrival system, Vietnam does not currently issue e-visas to Indian tourists.Le Quang Bien, the Vietnamese Consul General in Mumbai, while speaking in an event, highlighted the strong ties between Vietnam and India as well as the growing number of Indian visitors.
“We presently have e-visas, which allow people from India and other countries to enter the country without a visa. However, we are thinking about a new visa policy for visitors from India and other nations,” Bien said.
