Extending his best wishes to all the newly appointed employees, the Chief Minister called upon them to discharge their duties with a spirit of service, sensitivity and dedication.
The Chief Minister said that receiving an appointment letter is an important milestone in a young person’s life. It also marks the beginning of a new responsibility for public service. He urged newly appointed personnel not to view their government duties merely as a job, but rather as a means to bring positive change to the lives of those at the bottom of society. The role of personnel associated with the AYUSH Department and the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme is directly linked to the health and lives of people.
The Chief Minister said that people who come to government health centers and hospitals from remote areas for treatment have a deep trust in the system. The sensitivity, promptness, and efficiency of the staff further strengthen this trust. He urged the newly appointed staff to set an example through their work ethic, wherever they serve. Every person who visits a hospital or health center comes with hope, and the right decisions and sincere efforts of the staff can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government has taken effective steps to ensure a transparent and fair recruitment system in the state. Strict action has been taken against the cheating mafia and a strict anti-cheating law has been implemented. He added that today, the state’s youth are receiving opportunities in government services based on their hard work and merit. Over 35,000 youth have secured government jobs in the last five years. This demonstrates the government’s commitment to a transparent recruitment system in the state.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand, besides being Devbhoomi, has a rich tradition of yoga, Ayurveda, and medicinal herbs. The state government is continuously working towards developing Uttarakhand as a model “AYUSH state” and a “global wellness hub.” Along with expanding AYUSH services in all districts of the state, Panchakarma services are being modernized, and Ayurveda Excellence Centers are being established. He said that through e-Sanjeevani, people are being provided with the facility of expert consultation at home. The “AYUSH Setu Portal” is also an important initiative in this direction. Many homestays in the state have been linked to the wellness services of nearby Ayurveda hospitals. The state government strives to ensure that people visiting Uttarakhand experience better health and mental peace through yoga, Ayurveda, and Panchakarma.
The Chief Minister said that the health services of the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme are also being continuously expanded. Previously, the ESI scheme operated in six districts of the state, but has now been extended to all 13 districts. A 100-bed ESI hospital has become operational in Rudrapur, while construction work on a 300-bed ESI hospital is underway in Haridwar. Land has also been identified for an ESI hospital in Kashipur. Additionally, to further strengthen health services, the recruitment process for 47 new medical officers is in its final stages.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government’s goal is to provide better and accessible healthcare facilities to every individual. Expecting the newly appointed personnel to work with complete dedication, honesty, and a spirit of service, he said that the energy and potential of the youth will play a crucial role in fulfilling the resolve to build a developed and strong Uttarakhand.
While congratulating the newly appointed personnel, AYUSH and AYUSH Education Minister Mr. Madan Kaushik said that the state government is continuously working towards making AYUSH services in the state more robust and accessible to the public.
